Description

Tom Phillips + Associates' (TPA) remit was to obtain Planning Permission to extend the existing solid-fuel processing facility by adding a new ‘smokeless’ fuel manufacturing process and constructing a new petroleum fuels depot on an adjacent site.

Our Role

Planning advisors to Stafford Fuels Limited on the nature and extent of the development and on how best to prepare a bespoke and comprehensive Planning Application that addresses potential issues at the site, including flooding and proximity to an Special Area of Conservation.
TPA led all planning aspects of the proposal, prepared the Planning Application documents, co-ordinated, part-authored and peer-reviewed the associated Environmental Impact Statement and project managed the application from start to finish.

Planning Outcome

Kilkenny County Council issued a clean grant of planning permission on 23rd June 2015, following lodgement of detailed Further Information on 2nd June 2015, and a Final Grant of Planning Permission was issued on 24th July 2015.
