The key objectives of the Advocate Service are to:

• Improve ability to understand, gauge and deliver Brief of Evidence at Planning Oral Hearing
• Improve skills at handling in-depth cross-examination and anticipating questions
• Reinforce the importance of preparation and communication of a complex submission

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

• Communicate their message more effectively and with confidence
• Understand body language and the persuasive use of voice
• Understand how best to put a Brief together in a time-effective and comprehensive way
• Improve their ability to answer questions
• Create impact through confident handling and design of visual aids
• Convey a professional image
• This is a workshop-style training course, where all participants will have plenty of opportunity to present and get feedback and one-to-one coaching on their improvement and progress throughout the Course
• This training will be tailored to a specific forthcoming Oral Hearing, in which the participants are involved. This distinguishes Tom Phillips + Associates’ Advocate training from other courses.
